What:
Miss Greek Contest:
The
largest privately organized philanthropic event
associated with the University of Washington.
Contestants from 15 campus sororities will be judged
on talent, poise, a philanthropic address, and
fundraising efforts in front of an audience of
1,200. The audience is primarily composed of
members of the University of Washington’s Greek
System as well as friends and family of those
competing for the title of Miss Greek 2006. A
nine-judge panel of University of Washington
faculty, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research
representatives and local celebrities will determine
the winner. Last year’s event raised $60,000
for Cancer Research at Fred Hutchinson. Bringing our
total to $980,000.
Who:
The
event is organized by the Gamma Mu chapter of Delta
Tau Delta Fraternity on the University of Washington
Campus along with the 15 campus sororities.
Where:
Meany Hall on the University of Washington campus.
When:
April 13th, 2006.
Goal:
Last year’s event raised $60,000 for Fred Hutchinson
Cancer Research Center. This year we strive to
better that donation, improve the operations of the
event, and continue to set the standard for
fundraising at the Fred Hutchinson Research Center.
Our goal is to raise at least $80,000 this year
which will bring out total to over $1,000,000 for the
Research Center.
Sponsorship
Should your organization wish
to sponsor this event (which entails a gift of $500
in monetary, or in gift certificate/services worth
$500.). You will receive recognition in the
following manner:

Recognition as a major sponsor in all
press releases and fliers put out to support Miss
Greek 2006.
n
A black and white advertisement within
the program distributed at Miss Greek 2006.
n
Your organization logo on the back of
all T-shirts associated with the event (we are
currently in a contract for a minimum of 1,000
T-shirts).
n
Recognition as a major sponsor in the
full page ad in the UW Daily the week prior to the
event. The UW Daily currently has a circulation of
14,000+ papers daily.
n
Recognition as a major sponsor by the
evening’s emcee.
n
Two VIP complimentary seats to the
Pageant.
